LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO

Lamborgini Murcielago

The Murciélago Roadster was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model. A sign on the windshield header advises the driver not to exceed 100 mph (160 km/h) with the cloth top in place.[2] Designer Donckerwolke cited the B-2 stealth bomber, the Wally 118 WallyPower yacht, and architect Santiago Calatrava's Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, Spain as his inspiration for the roadster's revised rear pillars and engine cover. The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia, which replaces the previous Gallardo Lamborghini in the use of police cars by Italian police since 2004 has an engine of 560 horsepower that can reach speeds of up to 203 mph. The car will begin service with the Department of Lazio Highway Police in order to continue accident and crime prevention to sustain security on Italian roads. The sports car has 87,000 miles of patrol service in the motorways of central and southern Italy.  A second Gallardo, painted in blue and white police colors, has been in service around Bologna, Italy since 2005. Its odometer already shows more than 62,000 miles. It is also an effective tool of deterrence offered by the presence and visibility of a Lamborghini on the highway, the technological equipment on-board these vehicles makes them highly effective in controlling dangerous behavior on the roads. TOYOTA CELICA 2000

toyota celica

In late 1999, Toyota began production and sales of the seventh generation Celica. It closely resembled the XYR concept with the exception of the front bumper and rear spoiler. The 2000 model year Celica was an element of Toyota Project Genesis, an effort to bring younger buyers to the marque in the United States. Toyota wanted to appeal to the same buyers of the Acura Integra and Honda Civic. Toyota took time to lighten the car and lower cost whenever possible. Power window and door lock controls were placed in the center console so only 1 set was necessary for both doors. Initial moonroofs were made of polymer plastic instead of the traditional glass. BMW Z8 - SUPER CAR

bmw sport car

For 2003, the final model year, the Z8 model was augmented by the Alpina V8 Roadster. The Alpina was a departure from the hard-edged sporting focus of the original car, and elements of the new grand touring intent were evident throughout this final edition. Instead of the original six-speed manual and 4.9 L (S62) engine featured in earlier Z8's, the Alpina came only as an automatic, using a five-speed BMW Steptronic transmission allied to a downgraded 4.8 L Alpina-tuned V8 motor from the Alpina E39 B10 V8 S. In order to complete the car's transition from sportscar to boulevardier, relaxed suspension tuning was used. (wikipedia)

Performance of the Alpina Z8 differed from that of the standard car in that peak power was reduced to 375 hp (280 kW) while peak torque was raised to 383 lb·ft (519 N·m); this torque was available at significantly lower rpm than the original in order to enable more relaxed cruising. Curiously, the electronically limited top speed was officially raised to 161 mph (259 km/h). Only 555 of these Alpinas were built, most of which were exported to the U.S. market. In the United States, this special edition of the Z8 was sold directly through BMW dealerships, marking a first for Alpina, whose cars had never been sold through retail channels in the U.S. (wikipedia)
